Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information is handled when you buy and use Colorware. The short version: we keep what is needed to deliver and protect your licence, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
1. When you buy
Checkout is run by SellAuth, and payment by the provider you choose at checkout (PayPal or a cryptocurrency network). They receive the details needed to take payment and send your order, and handle them under their own policies. From the order we keep your email address, the key issued to you, the plan you bought and the date, so we can find your order if you need support.
2. When you use the software
When Colorware is first launched with a key, the key is bound to that PC. To do that, the loader sends the key together with a hardware identifier derived from the machine to our licence server, and the server records the pairing. On later launches the same check confirms the key is valid and still bound to the same device. The identifier is a hash; it does not contain your name, files or anything from your games.
The licence server keeps ordinary request logs (time, IP address, key checked, result) for a limited period, to detect shared keys and abuse.
3. What we do not collect
Colorware does not read your game files, chat, screen contents or Steam account. It does not contain analytics or advertising trackers. This website sets no tracking cookies; it uses browser session storage only to remember that the intro animation has already played.
4. Resellers
If you buy from a verified reseller, your order details are held by them under their own privacy policy. We receive only what is needed to issue and validate your key.
5. Discord
If you join the support Discord, Discord's own privacy policy applies to anything you post there.
6. Keeping and deleting data
Order and licence records are kept while your key is valid and for a reasonable period afterwards for support and fraud prevention. You can ask for your records to be deleted through support once your licence has ended; a revoked or expired key cannot be restored after deletion.
